Today, May 9 at 2pm Northend Woodward Community Coalition (NEWCC) will be holding a press conference and asking riders who feel comfortable speaking on camera of their experiences with public transit are present.
The focus of our complaint is on the procedural violations of the public hearings in their scheduling, lack of services/advertising provided for Spanish and Arabic speaking attendees, and decision to make cuts that disproportionately affect low income and minority population without first considering an alternative that would mitigate some of the impacts felt after service has been eliminated.
